Good afternoon everyone,

Today at approximately 12:30pm, HMS received a threatening phone call. The call was general in nature. We contacted the RCMP, who attended the site immediately, as well as our District Office.  The RCMP recommended we go to full Lockdown during this time as a precautionary measure.  The police then investigated both the site and the incoming call.  At approximately 2:15pm the Lockdown was reduced to a Hold and Secure.  The RCMP remained on site as a precaution and to assist with dismissal.  Students will be dismissed at 3:06 and buses/travel home will be as normal.

We appreciate our community's understanding and patience during these sorts of incidents and a reminder that we follow the direction and recommendations of the RCMP and our District office.  If you have any questions, please let me know.
