The amazing mural project at the entrance to HMS is inspired by traditional and modern Coast Salish art. Matt Gong, the Coast Salish artist, has created an incredible art project that speaks to the journey of learning. His work honours the wisdom of the past while inspiring curiosity and learning for the future.

This project was made possible by the dedicated work of Ms. O'Grady and Mrs. Schmor, based on the recommendations from the goals of the school district's three-year accessibility plan. The contrast painting improves accessibility for folks with vision considerations.​
